Global Fanfare: German Cheering Section at the Nordic World Cup

Get ready for an exhilarating winter experience as the COOP FIS Cross-Country World Cup descends upon Minneapolis in February 2024! This marks a historic moment, as the world’s top cross-country skiing athletes gather for the first World Cup race on U.S. soil in two decades. While tickets to this highly anticipated event are already sold out, the GAI has secured a limited number of free tickets for fans eager to form an enthusiastic cheering section for the German team!

Bring your national flags, alpine cowbells, and other spirited gear to show your support and cheer on the athletes as they navigate challenging courses. A designated meeting spot will be shared with attendees closer to the event.

Parking will be available at park-and-ride lots in Minneapolis for $20, which includes a shuttle service to and from the event venue. Additionally, carpool opportunities may be arranged by the GAI based on the interest of attendees. 10:30am – Men’s Sprint Qualification
12:30pm – Women’s Sprint Final
1:00pm – Men’s Sprint Final

Sunday, February 18 – DISTANCE RACES*
10:30am – Men’s 10K Individual Start
12:45pm – Women’s 10K Individual Start
