The Performers

ERYN TVETE
Minnesota native, Eryn Tvete, has been performing a variety of musical genres her entire life and obtained her music degree from the University of Minnesota, Duluth. Since moving to the Twin Cities, she has performed with the Minnesota Opera chorus, Minnesänger, Minnesota Chorale, Bloomington Civic Theatre, and the Gilbert & Sullivan Very Light Opera Company, just to name a few. She is thrilled to be working as the office manager at the GAI and hopes you all enjoy the concert!

JIMMY FINCH
Jimmy Finch, originally from Lansing, Michigan, has a BA of Music from Spring Arbor University, and a Master of Music in both Vocal Performance & Choral Conducting from the University of New Mexico, where he studied with the late Marilyn Tyler. When not working his day job with burn survivors in the Twin Cities, he directs the choir at Grace-Trinity Community Church in Uptown and loves hiking and visiting National Parks.

JOSHUA DIAZ
Mexican American tenor Joshua Thomas Diaz is an up-and-coming talent from Texas praised for his “rich and agile voice and sensitive interpretation.” He is an accomplished singer in the opera house, on the concert stage, and in the recital hall. Josh is currently completing work on his doctoral dissertation which is focused on chamber arrangements of beloved Mariachi music with the eventual goal of using this music to bridge the divide between the Latinx musical traditions and the Western Classical music establishment.

VICTORIA ERICKSON
Praised for her “beautifully ruby-throated quality” (Classical Voice North Carolina) and her “pointed wit and sparkling tone wielded with comedic potency” (Voix des Arts), Minnesota native Victoria Erickson is establishing herself as a promising and vibrant soprano. Most recently, Ms. Erickson toured Madagascar as a featured soprano with the Minnesota-based company Really Spicy Opera. Selected performances include the title role in the world premiere of Harmony (Seagle Festival), Blanche in Dialogues des Carmélites (Saltworks Opera), Liù in Turandot (North Carolina Summer Opera), Alice Ford in Falstaf and Pamina in Die Zauberflöte (UNCG Opera Theatre), Hedy LaRue in How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying and Rapunzel in Into the Woods (College Light Opera Company).
