TCGBS
Twin Cities German Business Society
Our Story
Following participation in numerous business events and dialogues with the Germanic business community in the Twin Cities, Philipp Burchartz, Michael Groebner, and Christian Weisenahl founded the Twin Cities Germanic Business Society in 2024 with the vision of creating a unified platform for German-speaking business professionals and interested parties in the region.
Following our inaugural event in 2024, word quickly spread within Minnesota's German-speaking business community, resulting in a steady rise in participants. As part of the Germanic American Institute, we host 2-3 business events annually, supplemented by informal gatherings to foster networking and community building. Each event includes a presentation or panel discussion hosting speakers carefully selected by the TCGBS leadership, focusing on topics of shared interest, followed by an extensive networking session with food and drinks. Presentations are conducted in English to create an inclusive environment for both German speakers and other interested parties. Attendees hail from the business sector, academia, and politics.
With Christian Weisenahl's return to Germany in early 2026, the remaining leadership members will ensure continuity of the society in collaboration with the Germanic-American Institute.
