Twin Cities Volkssports, in partnership with the Germanic-American Institute (GAI), invites you to lace up your walking shoes and join us on Tuesday, July 28, for a fun and friendly 5-kilometer (3-mile) group volksmarch!

Beginning at the GAI, we’ll walk together to the Minnesota State Capitol and back, following a scenic route that takes approximately 60 to 90 minutes. Whether you’re a seasoned walker or trying a volksmarch for the first time, you’ll experience a tradition where everyone's a winner, and the journey is shared. This walk is open to participants of all ages. Children under 12 are welcome but must be accompanied by an adult age 21 or older.

Participation is free for GAI members and children and $4 for non-members (payable on the day of the event). Advance registration is encouraged to help us plan, but walk-up registrations are welcome.

• 9:45 a.m. Check-in begins at the GAI

• 10:00 a.m. The group walk departs from the GAI
