Celebrate one of St. Paul’s longest-running ethnic festivals at Deutsche Tage, held on the beautiful grounds of the Germanic-American Institute. This year’s festival will feature a focus on the many contributions of German Americans in the United States, with exhibits exploring how German heritage has shaped American culture, traditions, foodways, music, and community life.
Throughout the weekend, guests can experience a vibrant mix of culture and celebration. Enjoy authentic German and European food, Paulaner beer including gluten-free options, and a rich lineup of performances with a choral music theme that highlights the strong German tradition of singing and community choirs. Join in on sing-alongs, take part in scavenger hunts across the festival grounds, and enjoy live music, traditional dance, and interactive activities for all ages. Deutsche Tage offers something for everyone in a welcoming, family-friendly environment.
Admission is free. Adults 21 and over may purchase a $10 wristband for beer and wine with valid ID. No pets are allowed, but service animals are always welcome.
Proceeds from Deutsche Tage directly support the Germanic-American Institute’s cultural and language education programs, helping to sustain and share Germanic heritage with the community all year long.
